FAMIKA vs. TEA PARTY

Washed up fly girl Famika is kidnapped by Tea Party militia in a case of mistaken identity.

(Run time 110 min.) A new political comedy from director Maija DiGiorgio. Starring Maija DiGiorgio, Heather McConnell, Del Harrison, Greer Barnes, Jim Norton, and more. Washed up fly girl, Famika, after a failed attempt at stardom with her song “Hoochie for Hussein” flees NYC with her also washed up boyfriend Bobby.  When Bobby leaves Famika in a rest stop bathroom in the middle of the Arizona desert, her insane journey begins. In a case of mistaken identity, Famika is kidnapped and left for dead by backwoods militia. She is found and thrown in jail by Arizona police. Famika’s best friend, Shaqwanda, a sister Souljah turned ACLU attorney, comes to her rescue. After attempting to report the kidnapping and police harassment to higher authorities, they find themselves once again facing the militia. The pair ends up on the run by escaping onto a caravan of Tea Partiers who are zig zagging their way across the US en route to save America. At the helm of the caravan is ex-marine (by way of a very dishonorable discharge)  Town Hall Tammy.  Tammy and her troops attempt to take the country back by stopping a gay wedding, attacking green peacers, and taking down a gaggle of Alpaca for being terrorist camels. When our heroine stumbles onto a Tea Party plot to oust Obama, Famika, who has become the patriots’ prize “minority” national anthem singer, must choose between fame, and taking a stand for what’s right.  Famika vs. the Tea Party is a comedy that brings to light the absurd reality of our current political climate.
